Peggy Plet (1966)
studied Portuguese/Latin-American Studies at Utrecht University. She graduated
in 1994 and wrote her masters thesis on resistance and survival strategies by
Brazilian enslaved women. In 1996-1997 she was a Fulbright student at the University
of Wisconsin at Madison (USA). Currently she works as an independent scholar
on Surinamese Women's History.
